I have a legacy LA420 and its 600wmax and rms i have 2 MA hot shot 10"s 300w max each.. can i wire them up to 2ohm and run the full 600w or sould i turn it down to about half?

That amp is 600w max, 300w rms. If you're asking if you can bridge the amp to get the full 600w max / 300rms and run it into a 2ohm load, no, you cant. That amp is only stable at 4ohms when you bridge the channels. Im kinda confused by your question though.

I think he's asking if he should turn down his gains to half. And we all know that those gain controls are actually extra volume *****.

OK... each sub has a single 4ohm coil... right?

now is that a 2channel amp or a 4 channel amp?

If it's 4channel you can bridge it down to 2channels and run a sub on each @4ohms...

If it's a 2 channel amp I wouldn't recommend bridging it to one channel and running both subs in parrallel... your amp will not like it... !

its a two channel amp... so shoulod i just run both subs off one channel at 2 ohms? or should i wire it up to 8.. i really don't understand the different the ohms make.... like would 2 ohms pound harder? i'm kinda confused.
