wiring, resistance etc

First off, I'll explain my intentions. I don't want ridiculous bass. I won't be in competitions etc. This is my daily driver and what I wanted was an affordable system that would allow me to hear my music the way it was meant to be heard. Good bass, full freq range. (I also happen to be a bass player)

I've picked up this amp: an Infinity 311A
4 OHM Output Power - Full Range 116 Watts

I got this 12" Infinity sub.
SVC, 4 ohm.

I heard the combo demoed but it was 2 subs and they were in a ported box. I just have one going into a sealed box.

Since its an SVC, it's the absolute easiest wiring job ever. But I just am wondering if anyone has any recommendations with respect to powering the sub etc. since it is gonna be different than the demo i heard/saw

Hope someone can help. thanks

Best advice I can give is to take the sub back and get a DVC model so as to get the performance out of the amp that you purchased. Otherwise you are using the amp for only 50% of it's abilities. Keep it in a sealed box of up to 1.5 cubic feet and it should sound quite natural, unlike a ported box that is designed for increased output at lower frequencies.
