Would this kicker amp be too small for my single L7?

Would this kicker amp be too small for my single L7?

I have a Kicker L7 in a 2.25 cubic box and a very old school Rockford Fosgate p1500 amp. The amp cuts in and out and I am looking for a new one that is good and clean. This kicker amp has caught my eye but since my woofer is 750rms I feel I may be underpowering it. Am I? See link below

Alpine 500W Class D Digital Mono Amplifier with LowPass Crossover MRV-M500

I drive a SUV btw.

The link you provided is for an alpine amp not kicker, also imo 500 watts rms would be on the low side, what's your budget for the amp? Maybe I can suggest something.

Big mistake, anyhow, i am buying an alpine mrx-m100 - hope this is a good match. My friend sold it to me for 225 with the bass **** . The amp was used for a week only when he lost his license and the **** is still in package. No warranty but I should be ok - im gambling !
