Xmax
do most manufactures measure Xmax distance from peak to peak or from a nutral point to peak?
|
If differs. Some measure peak to peak and some one way linear.

Many specify weather it's linear or peak to peak.
|
most companies state one way movement before the coil starts to leave the gap.. others when when so much of the coil is out of the gap...
but any good quote IMO will be a linear # based on a dumax test (or similar)... wether or not its one way or p-p dosen't really matter so long as they say so.... |
ok, yeah because i was wondering and so was my buddy who bought my subs, they say 27mm but, they actually move about 40-50mm. i will get a video sooner or later.

When one says "one way linear" does that necessarely mean that it is double that number for peak to peak linear? Or is one way not necessarely the same lenght in both directions?
