i wouldnt waste the money, especially buying from xscargo half of their stuff is crap, especially when it comes to electronics. You can get something better for the price or a little more

Like any store that does the "clear-out, end-of-line, discounted prices" type of retail, it is up to the consumer to know what they want and know if the products offered will be satisfactory or not. Having said that, I would not recommend either one of those bandpass enclosures they are selling. The individual speakers range in quality like they do in any "dedicated" car audio store, and I have helped quite a few people get some decent sounding systems built with equipment purchased at XSCargo. For people without a lot of money to spend on their cars, it's pretty tough to beat them. When you can get a pair of 6.5" comps for the front, 6X9s for the rears and a pair of 12" subs for less than $300, try doing that in a shop and see if the SQ is much, if any better. So much of the 'sound' in any system is dependant on install that buying there and doing the install right (either yourself or with some help) will work for a lot of people.....:dunno: HTH |
oh i agree with you too big red, but this perticular setup he is looking at , i would say no. I purchased a bunch of new rca car speakers from them, 5x7, 4x6, 4.25 and 6.5 with tweeters and crossovers and paid a little over 100 for all and hooked them up to a four channel amp and am very satifsfied. I would buy again from them , but be weary, of what you buy.

I have a set of the 6.5" RCA component sets from XS in my truck and they sound pretty damn good. I also have the one of the dual 12" bandpass boxes in the trunk of the wifes car, and that thing pounds pretty hard. I removed the speakers out of the rear deck to allow the bass from the bandpass boxes ports to directly enter the car (leaving only the grills), and installed a set of coaxials in the rear quarters to replace them. Some of the stuff there is not bad, and some is junk. Paid $60.00 for the components and $100.00 for the bandpass. Had to beat at those prices.
