Alpine 7949 connected to a PRA-H400 outboard processor.

Pros:
Stunning sound quality.
Time delay with processor.
TOSLINK output.
Internal crossovers (processor).
Display blackout option.

Cons:
No rotary volume control.
Crappy display in direct sunlight.

Future plans:
Replacing the PRA H400 for a PXA H700

Pioneer P9. I've talked about it alot on these forums. For the price, waiting for something that can beat it for tuning and setting up a vehcile.............. especially given the used prices for it now.

Pros: Amazing deck for what you can buy it for now. Terrific sound quality, tons of options. You can add the DPH7500z for pretty cheap which gives you a ton of other options. Too many options to list is probably the best selling point. Great screen display.

Cons: Screen sometimes hard to see when light out.

Eclipse CD8053

Pros:

Sounds incredible(as has every other eclipse I have owned)

Easy to use
hasn't skipped yet

Cons:

Um, what more could I ask for?

What will I buy next? See what Eclipse does in 05..nothing in o4 that I would take over the 8053(well, except for a few of the video units, maybe)

Oh, scarlemthug...let me check with the shop again to see if they happen to have an extra trim ring kicking around. If they do, I will mail it to you.

Sony XES-Z50 (2nd Generation)
10 disc changer
8V preout
digital eq
digital crossover
digital time alignment
lots of other goodies
very nice looking

cons
the changer section is quite large due to the fact that it houses the changer and the processor

as for what i'll buy next? i haven't a clue
i've had the XES for 4 or 5 years now. its been great so when i find something that is better i may consider it but for now, its getting 2 thumbs up.
