about height of the SPL box

hi m8s , i comp in Europe in StreetA with this equipment;
car vw Polo , peak @ 56 Hz
amp : GZPA 2.3000D , measured 2.1 kW RMS @ 2 ohm
sub : GZNW12 , 2 kw , 2+2
accu: Evolution 2500A
cable is 50 mm2

max i did ,was 147,9 dB :( but it has to go up :D

box i use now is (total internal Volume of empty box) 1.96 cuft with 6" aeroport ,. Box is tuned @ 53 Hz.

I have some Q about box:
1. is there any "formula" to calculate height of the SPL box ?
2. i know that if box i smaller , impedance is olso smaller = more power from amp, but i am reading that huge box = more SPL , so is this true or false ?
3. For my setup , what is optimum volume to get louder than this ?
4. i have TL, but with this box i cant get louder, i tried many positions , and many lenghts of ports.
5. i tried to round off 90 degree angels, but it lowerd the score, but i am reading that may help ??

this is how box looks like :

Please advise me on some tips, if not here, please on PM, or mail :P

Thx guys !

i think that you could....think about trying to tune it a litle lower...like 47 or 45....lengthen the port a slight bit and see what happens...or increase the size o the box.....that box look small....although it might not be.....the pic is deceiving..try 2.2 or 2.5. i think the 53hz of the box or the 56hz of the car should be a slight bit lower. just a thought. also....have you tried mounting the woofer on one side and the port on another....or have you always tried the port on the same side as the woofer....

you can also mount your port extrenally...and have it ourside the box...that will increase the box size slightly and see what happens there..

i never didnt tried put port on another side ..... but that is not good for SPL ... right ?

am i right for Question 2. ?

i had always been led to believe that impedance rises with smaller box.... but it is specific to each woofer and box design. nothing short of testing will tell you that answer.

his port is outside the box because it over laps his sub , i would built the box the length of your car , but the thing is that over here we do not have a car like yours. I would build it to 2.25cub and dont round it make it 2 inchs longer on each side keeping the same hight. pm me
