can someone shed some light on this for me, as in: any particular amps, single or two channel, brands, just all around info would be great thanx.

You can strap any amp. Some come strapable from the factory with kits built in or on the side. But amps that don't are a custom job "sort of speak".

just never done it before, or seen it done in person, just wondering what is involved, i imagine they have to be identical amps. what special items does a person need if any? is there issues with gain setting and such?

 

There are lots of isuues. I suggest if you wanted to strap amps for whatever reason it is that you buy crossfire, RF, MTX, memphis, etc that have strappable already for you.

Instruction are really easy. Most use a master/slave relationship as the master controls boths preamp issues.

Why are you needing to strap amps?

There are lots of 2000+ watt amps available. And with dual voice coils that would be 4000+ to each sub.
