Bear with me on this, bad case of short term memory loss.

Been using the 1400.5 amp to run 4 12`s.
What do you think a minimum alternator would be for this amp?

Right now its a stock 60 amp and an Eliminator 1000cca battery. Grounds are all 4g to body, frame, amp etc. Only wire not upgraded is alt to battery. I have a stock Delco alt 105 amp I think? Need to find a way to adapt that into the Toyota.

Any suggestions to help on the electrical system?

The amp will be powering a Juggernaut 15.

Thought about doubling up either some 3/4" or the slightly thicker MDF for the box. Thinking aeroports might be more efficient than slot port, but am hoping to make the box as high SPL output as possible, but remove the port for street use.

I guess this kinda leaves me open to a removable slot port.

Anyone built a box for the Jugg and what tuning was it and approx size? I figure I have 10 cubes to fit comfortably behind me and still be able to stretch out the legs.

Man is this a bugger being on a strict budget.

Thanks

I have a jugg 15 and i ran it off of a d100hc for the longest time . The jugg in my car anyways made its most SPL at around 38hz tuning I burped it at 42 and 43hz with my loudest spl being 144.7db at the windshield. I've gone through so many boxes for that sub its unbelieveable . I had good luck though with the "CRX" box design. PM me if you want to know more.
Just started a new box design should be ready to go in a month hopefully.

I did 143.2db at 40Hz with a D300HC hooked up to an Eclipse Ti 15.

I had a 120 amp alternator and during burps while running, the needle on my volt display dropped about 2 volts. So likely it was eating up everything coming out of the alt and more.

Oddly my sub had better response and kick with that amp than others I owned. Could be also because of the extra 600W it had over all other amps I used.

I didnt see an improvement between the 1400.5 and the 2 PG ZX 350`s I normally use.

Scores came in the same.

For a single jugg 15, go 6 cubes, 125sq" of port tuned to 45hz, and you can compete for spl, and street pound as well.

you could always put in a beefy alt 130+ and just make some brkts. im sure that you can get one from an old ford or buick. some came with a stock 130and if you run a dedicated alt, at 2000 at 16 volt you can get 140/150/160 amps out of it. cooling is the factor that will get you 10% more power

Cash is my big problem right now. Only 1 UI cheque left and no work to be found around here.

I think I am going to try to find a wrecker Delco 1 wire or an Alt out of a Grand Cherokee (135amps).

Brackets are going to be the problem and where to put the damn thing. Something will come up.

I can tell you that if someone was to come up with a bracket system and alternator package for any Toyota 22re , they would be making some serious coin.

Think of all the offroaders with winches, lights etc that need big power and no one to my knowledge makes a kit to install a bigger alt, like a boltin system.
