fuses.....
i've been doing some upgrading this year to my wiring. I just finished installing 4+ and 4 - from the front battery to buss bars, then 2 of each from a buss bars to my amp. (Atomic AT 5K)
My issue is, i know that fuses are bad for electrical flow (when it comes to spl) and could pontentionally hurt my numbers, but my car is a daily driver and i dont feel like burning it to the ground or frying my amp incase something does short out. Is there anyway that i could get around not putting fuses in my + wires and not have to worry about hurting my amp, or my car catching fire if something shorts out? please help. |
no there really isnt.
if you are using ANL fuses what you can do is replace the fuse with a solid copper or aluminun bar when you are testing/competing. |
yes i am using ANL fuses. So just a flat copper bar bolted in where the fuse would be, right?
im assuming i should go with the biggest piece that will fit in the holder? |
yah u got it
