high output alternator

Who out there would want a high output alternator. 290 amp. ho much would you pay for it. how much would you pay for it witha clutching mechanism on it? just asking for opinions. we are increasing our alternator output. and we are building 2 extra ones. plus we will still have our original 150 amp alt(with a clutch mechanism). we are thinking about selling 1 or two to try to round up some money to attend shows. But we are still thinking about it. any thoughts from CCA members?

thats what i'm asking you guys. as far as voltage. if you full field and alternator it can go as high as 18 volts or more. with an adjustable voltage regulator(included)its up to you as to where you set it. i'm just looking to get a feel for what someone would pay for. Put it this way. i Myself do not think that i would pay more than 1000 for any high output alternator(would have to be pretty high and sweet for me to dish out 1000). i got offered a 200 amp ohio generator alternator for 800. with all the trimmings. but i choose to build one instead. well three actually. But i'm not looking to sell them yet as i do not know the final bill yet.

these are the specs i got today for some alternators. not sure if these are the ones we are going to use yet but it seems likely that these are the ones were going with due to thier exceptionally high outputs
gm large casing:
250 amps at 14.4v hot rating
278 amps at 16.0v hot rating
312 amps at 18.0v hot rating
the alt we currently have is a ford casing, most likely we will be looking to get rid of this one and contunue with the gm alts.
130 amp at 14.4v hot rating
144 amp at 16.0v hot rating
163 amp at 18.0v hot rating
gm large casing:
250 amps at 14.4v hot rating
278 amps at 16.0v hot rating
312 amps at 18.0v hot rating
the alt we currently have is a ford casing, most likely we will be looking to get rid of this one and contunue with the gm alts.
130 amp at 14.4v hot rating
144 amp at 16.0v hot rating

well yeah. but ford and chyrslers are small and you can't get as much meat into it as the gm case. but i imagine that the chrysler case will probably be good for 200 amps. Pm me if you want something set up. maybe yo can get me your case and we can get the internals ready to go
