I have a Bassworx 3000D and a MTX RFL wired 1ohm, in a 4.5 cu.ft. box with a 0.6 cu.ft. port. Have tryed the sub with one of the spiders cut out and one untouched. Power is all 1/0 cable and a pair of yellow top batteries, and a pair of 5 farad caps. Im new to the spl world and could use some help im in the high 120s too low 130 dB

 

you are doing something wrong.

put up some pics of the whole set up.

 

Dont have a camera on hand and its snowing like crazy out. The box is located in the bed of the truck and has two ports running into the cab one from the enclosure and another from the front area of the box where the subwoofer is located. there is no seeing the sub in this enclosure. Could this be the issue the sub is firing in a restricted area?

 

that's probably the problem.

 

^^^what he said. You need to put the box in the cab. It should hit much louder. Also use internal aeroports.

 

So much for the tuning.....ouch....

At that point, you're probably better off ditching the bandpass, building a smaller ported box and saving some space to boot......

Well the good news is that you have 3kw and you can only get louder, now just get the pressure levels inside the cabin.

 

Make a ported box using those ports (or not, probably cheaper).

Try 4 cubes @ 35 Hz (this is a 15", right?).

Find where the truck peaks and then build another ported box around it.
