Maybe the wrong deck for comps? Need some opinion.
Before I knew I wanted to compete I purchased a eclipse cd5030. Which doesn't have a pause (for the price you think it would). Anyways I have a blue tooth option that I can press and pauses the cd and I press it for the burp and press it again to turn off. But to do that I have to sit in the car. Will that affect my score at all? And I know if I sit in car I should wear head phones.

mute role helps impedance rise and has been known to be a bit louder then a full burp and doesnt have as much voltage drop as a full burp but in my oppinion if your not running huge power or a really low impedance it doesnt make that much of a differance

I think I know a competitor with a eclipse deck. What he does is put the headunit on the radio, or aux input, with everything set, and just switches over to the cd when it's time to burp, then back to aux.

That makes sense because you can choose to turn the aux in off so when you switch if the aux in is turned off it won't turn to it it will just turn to cd
