Measure twice.....

CUT ONCE!!!
So I decided to make a new box (actually 2 identical ones). However, when I cut the port, I cut it 4" high instead of 3". This raised my resonant frequency from aprox 50Hz to 60Hz. Oh well. Guess i'll see how this baby plays on sunday in oshawa. If it's not working too well, time to make a plug for the ports.
Anyways, just thought i'd make a new topic. I haven't done one in a few days.

I Know all about building boxes. I work at a cabinet shop(a very big one actually-put out 2-5jobs per week---5,000-75,000 bucks). This measure twice cut once is very true. except when you are working with expensive material. when this is the case you may need to measure 3 times and cut once (or even cut several times- sneak up on the cut you want) It definately pays off to plan ahead and know exactly what you doing and how you are going to do it. trick is to take your time and don't get all in a rush and start getting jittery and stuff. and uhh one thing that i have a problem with when at my house...plan a time to build when you have plenty of light (makes things a hell of a lot easier)
