so i need some recommendations on tuning. current dimensions. h 38 x w 41 x l 45 ish. now
i could be a little off but i want to bring it down lower. its at 36 now but i still want it lower lol. so im still thinking 26hz. so do i make the port longer and just keep it the same or should i make the port bigger by almost double. the port is currently 7w 38h x l 15

Ross is right. Longer for lower & if you increase the port area, you would need an even longer port.

are you gonna shrink the volume too? they were more or less free-airing with all that space no?

By lengthening the port, he would be effectively reducing the internal volume at the same time.

Joel, If you have more internal than you want, just play with the port area and length (to meet the tuning you want) until you are left with the internal volume your looking for.

Don't forget angles make for an easy way to remove space too.

yeah that I figured Paul, but its like a million cubes, unless he maybe widens the port at the same time. but my knowledge of boxes is limited to the RE Enclosure Calculator
