depends what he wants... daily, bass-race, burp machine? a big port will require a different suspension setting on the woofers and bla bla bla.

my explorer was in that range and i lost spl slightly from plugging the sunroof.

did you gain SPL from kneeling on windshield? and what frequency did u find it liked?
