Question Porting: Slot V.S Round

Just looking to get some opinions. I'm going to build a slot ported box, as I have no clue how to calulate round port specifics. What do you guys favor?

...

aeroports (round ports with flares on the end) are the best. They don't work if you need alot of port area but for most systems they work really well.

Well, this is the box I was planning on builiding, tuned to 35Hz (Slot ported because I have no clue how to calulate the size for the round ports):

http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box.asp?Ew=20&Eh=17.5&Dia=9&Xmax=15&Vd=.16&NumW=1& Vb=3&Fb=35&Qts=&Vas=&Fs=&CE=0

***EDIT*** In the picture it should read 35Hz, not sure why it's showing 34.

What do you guys think?

Thats a fruity looking box if you ask me ..

but anyways, That looks fine, just make sure you round off the edges with a router ahead of time before you go and glue it all together.... and it should be fine

Ahhhhh, I think I get yea. So round off the entrance of the port, and the little part that juts out in the box (Shown in purple on the diagram above) ?

if you are compairing a slot port to a round port with the same area..... the round port will have less drag.....

but the difference between a slot port round port or areoport is going to be neglagable so long as they arn't exceedingly small (or thin)...

I usually build slot ports or just use 4-5" PVC pipe....

Haunz, think the slot port I have in mind in the above diagram is good? Doesn't seem too thin to me. It should tune it to 35Hz, which is what I want, and what the calculator i was told to use gave me.
