The Powercell 4000 battery.

Back a few months ago when I had posted up pics of the Powercell 4000 battery a few people had questions about it wanting to buy it.

Back then I said it was way too expensive to even bother bringing it in... welp, seems someone has found the "unbadged" equivalent. If you guys bought from this place it would be just a bit under my cost by the time I brought it over from Europe... so I figured I'd just give you a direct link to it in the US.

Have fun

is it any good?

JordyO 02-19-2007 11:01 AM

I haven't really had a chance to play with it enough to say... the Euro's love it though. It's tested louder than the Kinetik and NSB...

NTOXKTD 02-19-2007 11:27 AM

Prolifik 02-19-2007 11:29 AM

It doesn't... because it's a telecom battery (like the NSB90). It's still legal for all competition orgs (maybe not CSPL) because it's a standard 12v battery. ;)

In it's "repackaged" form that you can buy from 2loud4you in Europe it is marketed as an automotive battery.

Same battery, different label.

NTOXKTD 02-19-2007 01:40 PM

what is wrong with the hx500.

GrandAmGuy 02-19-2007 02:59 PM

the HX500 isnt db drag legal. its bigger then the 800 cubic inch limit. The 400 is less then 800 cubic inchs.

SweetnLow91SC 02-19-2007 05:21 PM

Menace 02-19-2007 05:38 PM

For competing it would have to go under the hood... however it *could* be used inside the vehicle as it is a sealed cell...

In DB Drag if you go into Street 3, you can have a secondary battery and this goes inside the vehicle correct?

JordyO 02-19-2007 07:23 PM

Street C... but yeah, you get the idea ;)

Prolifik 02-20-2007 01:10 AM

Manace, the answer to your question really depends on the class you want to be in.

ShonBesharah 02-23-2007 08:20 PM

whats the price

darren700 02-26-2007 08:02 AM

i wonder how it would fair vs the kinetik hc2400 in a daily driver (im going to run a hifonics xx hercules) off of two batteries, and these are very tempting

According to the website and some HAndy Calculator work, this comes in @ 765 cu" and change :D So this would be legal in Street C? And yes Also I am interested in price if there is a way to find that out in Ontario(not looking forward to shipping from US totally, and im really lazy, Just sooner get it semi local)

I honestly forget what the difference was.... I believe it was a few 10ths... for some reason .7 rings a bell, but don't quote me on it.

I'll have to check my email when I get home.. I think I have that info there.
