SA-18 Quiet???
Just got a Sundown Audio SA-18 in the mail. SA-18 SERIES
The sub is 600wRMS and it's a dual 2 ohm. I have it wired to 4 ohms in a 3.5 ft^3 ported box tuned to 30 hz pushing 563wRMS. When playing music with the gain properly set at the max, the sub sounds very quiet. I checked my wiring everywhere and it's working fine. Can't seem to find the problem to why it sounds so quiet. |
1. Sub is going to be tight at the beginning till broken in..
2. possible phase issues with other speakers, try flipping polarity to see if it changes.. 3. I personally think it needs more power also.. 4. position of sub in vehicle..can try ..if possible.. moving it around to see changes.. |

Sundown's power ratings are very underated, The SA-18 can easily take over 1000rms
What's you setup? What do you mean the "gain is properly set at the max"? The gain is to match the voltage from your HU... |
