shop made subs??

I never really gave much credit or even knew anyone that made their own subs from spare parts etc. Well the TF1 seems to have change my opinion a bit.
I found these on ebay-
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220612900440&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

They're about $100 less each than the ones I've been drooling over and seem to be on par with them also, less the factory build.

Any comments on them?

This motor is a variation on the popular TC Sounds TC9+ design. For TCS, it was most famously used on the Audio Pulse Revo, Sunfire TruSubwoofer and the original Orion Industries HCCA 15D2 circa 1998-2003. A smaller variation using twin 3/4" slugs was used on several smaller subs from those same lines. Right now, the smaller version, called the TC9 is now used on the TC Sounds LMS-R and retails for around $500 at Parts Express.
This sub uses the coil from the TC 3000. Same coil used in the Audio Pulse Revo, Axis, TC 2000, Eclipse Titanium series, Sound Splinter RL-p subs and several other makers that TCS built for. The coil is American Made and uses four layers of high current, round aluminum wire on an anodized black aluminum former. Wind height is a whopping 60mm. In the dual 2 ohm version of this sub, it uses our new TCS replacement coil also found HERE. The dual 4 ohm version is from the Memphis LVS. (We'll have a variation on this coil for sale soon)

TC9, and 3000 motor? What?

RBG - Is that odd? Why?

Menace - very cool, I'm pretty well sold on these, they're competition grade, have the power handling I need(1500rms), and no logos. Also $200 less than the Bravox subs I wanted sooooo bad, but... :smokin: . I think I like rebuilt subs..lol

I'll be sure to let you know how they work, if I get them by next weekend, feel free to come and hear em at the June 6th show.

Found 'em on ebay. The parent company of the ebay member that is selling them, is call Underground Industries. Probably just a guy or two though ;)
Guess that's not really a "shop" but ....:dunno:
Just cut and paste the addy in the first post, they're still for sale, he has more, I ordered. :cheeky4:

They look decent for the price... be sure to let us know how they work out for you. :smilie_da

Soul, it seemed like the seller was throwing out random company part names, how can it be both a TC 9 and a TC 3 motor? I don't know if you can do that, just seemed shifty.
