SPL amps
What's the difference between SPL amps and regular ones? I mean besides the huge power output.
|
Well, I don't think is anything more than the power itself.
|
ability to play low and efficiency i guess.

Really nothing diffrent Marilo how about Dampaning factor of the amp that means nothing. wow you surprise me more and more when you comment.
|
Mr. The Man,
Damping factor is the ratio of load impedance to amplifier impedance. A stronger amplifier have smaller impedance, because has either more output transistors (or lower RDSon ones), so a stronger amplifier will have higher damping factor. On the other hand, the wiring + connection resistances will make the damping of the amplifier + subwoofer WAY smaller than the rated damping of the amp, but this is ANOTHER discussion. Obviously you already know all this, right? |
Regarding to SPL amps, we don't make SPL competition amplifiers, they are designed to reproduce audio and work in all kind of car audio systems, a good and strong amplifier will always perform nicely on competition.
Some features we put on amps did come from our competitors claims tough, like the low voltage capability, low voltage warning LED, etc. |

marilo what is the dampaning factor on your sd amps?

Well the biggest thing i have noticed.... NO FUSES! high quality parts.. much bigger boards to handle the amp draw across the board. but i could be wrong
