SPL sub ???

What are some of the better SPL subs out there. Two 10" or one 12" only, the car will be competing in the lower classes. The car will be using at least 3000 watts of power. Lower impedances are prefered (1ohm per sub nomimal or lower). And I would like to keep the price for the sub/sub's under $1200 CAD. I know that there is a ton of stuff out there but what are some proven products.

If you plan to compete in the lower classes such as 'street' then I think the majority of this board would refer you to Digital Design subs. Are you willing to buy used, or are you leaning towards a new product?

If you can get your power at a .5 ohm load, I recommend the Pioneer TS-2502SPL subs.

Otherwise, DD 3510's, or 9510's if you can find them that price, should be able to. RE SX 10's, or L7 10's are also a decent bet.

Building a slot port box for a pair of DD3512's tomorrow for that matter. Not a SPL type of system for this person but I am sure it is still going to have copious amounts of bass.

You should be able to score some Atomic APX's for that price as well.

Well the power situation has changed a little. There is a good chance that the car will now be using 8 1100D amps from Bassworx. So that's about 10'000watts total for two 10" woofers. Should be enough! I'm looking into DD and RE as well as a few other brands.

Who sell DD, RE, and the like in Ontario?

Also, what's TREO like?

thanks
