Okay... Here is the dealio. I have installed an amp relay dictly to the batteries. I have a brand new everstart battery up front. A brand new Stinger yellow top in the back with [2 caps on it (fairly usuless but look cool haha)]. I have just about the biggest wire i can find anywhere on every part of my sytem. I have excellent grounds, and my voltage does not drop bellow 11.8 at high volumes. My deck is less than 4 months old. The gains on my amps are set at < 1/4. with bass boost all the way down. i keep all eq moderately set, and sub level at less than 6/15.
This being said. I can not figure out why my sytem stops playing for a few seconds when turned up loud. When cranked it will seise to play music for a couple seconds at a time. The amps do not shut off and niether does the cd player. Although sometimes the cd play will read an error, and i have to take the cd out and put it back it for it to play again. I have no clue what it is doing. And no shop in town can offer me any advice. I thought my HU just needed cleaning or something. i tried it with no possitive results. I tell you what. If you can offer some suggestions that will fix this. i will say Canadians are BADASS! |
Have you tried swapping in a different deck?
|
For your deck.. is the constant power wire and ground wired directly to your battery? I know that was a big problem for my car expecially with alpine decks..
|
Yeah i have swapped another deck to see if that was the problem. Did the same thing.

check the numbers on your track time to see if it skipping
or run a set of rca's from a different car to see if it is your amps or cd player if it is your cd check your track numbers to see if it skips |

weak remote wire in the deck harness? bad rca?
|
Turn off the Power IC (in the menu -> setup-> Power IC - on ~ off ) and try just running the sub at the louder volumes and see if it still cuts out. There may be a problem with your V-Drive. I do recommend (as was earlier stated) wire the constant and ground direct. I had to do it with my 9833 and used the same harness when I swapped to my 9835. I also added a cpu fan due to heat issues because of the trucks heating ducts running DIRECTLY behind the heatsink (almost touching).

Originally posted by Father Yuli: weak remote wire in the deck harness? bad rca? Bad RCA? I kind of ruled that out because i have 2 pair running to the back. 1 that splits off to the 3 sub amps and then one that goes to my high amp. All the amps stop making sound at the exact same time. |
