hey i am just woundering if anyone has ever had this or installed this combo
one 12"kicker L5 in the kicker made ported box
one JL audio 500/1
i have not installed my combo yet but i am thinking about 135DB i have a 180 amp alt (145 amp at idle) and yellow tops one in the back and one up front. i also have 2 layers off a dynamat knock-off stuff all over the back of the car (91 ford escort hachback)... last year i had one 10" L5 in a custom built box 2.7ft3 tuned to 40 hz and a power acoustik ova-820 amp 460w rms (more like maybe 350w rms) and i had the same electrical system and i hit 129.7DB so i am hoping on a improvment. i also have changed decks to one that has a rca sub out and i have got a PG PLD-1 line driver(FOR SALE) that will give me up to 8 volts rms i also have my other 4 channel amps remote wire on a switch up front so i can turn it off the conserve power for the 500/1. i am goin to do the BIG three today with 0 ga and i have 0 ga running to the 500/1 and 0 ga to connect the batterys and i have a 200 amp battery isolator i think its called.

any ways please let me know what you all think and any tips that you all have for SPL.... i want to stay with the equipment that i have......

ya u can get a 135 easy with that , just make sure u point the port back and fold down your rear seats =]
