They dont make 9915s anymore as well.

Waginguyzd 05-06-2007 02:38 PM

i should get some hertz subs.
this guy at the show had 2 10s and a old 300 watt alpine amp and was doing like 140.
i think my rs did 134 but that is bloodly loud man, i would hate to be in that car with the hertz.

My vote goes to DD for a loud daily sub, they do extremely well daily and in the lanes.

Oh well, they've upped to the Z line.

Regardless, no one meantioned the subs were to be bought new. So a 9915 is still attainable.

I geuss if you were buying new and wanted the DD sub, you would be stuck with a Z15. That might break the bank though.

Regardless of your choice, all the subs mentioned are far superior to the alpine type r's.

And again, are you looking for 3000-4000 rms or peak?
Also what amps?

No, instead you would buy a 9515g with composite cone.

well, i geuss i shouldnt of voiced an opinion, because u clearly know a lot more then me. from what i have seen and heard, the 9500's dont hold up to well with that much power. but i dont know and dont follow dd at all, mabey they changed something... u seem to be the expert, so ill go along with ur opinion.

From my understanding the 9900 was a 9500 except with a different cone. This may or may not be correct, but that was my understanding. Which is why the 9500 with the new cone option is comparable, as it is pretty much a 9900 with a different name plate :)
