which subwoofer 15'' ?
 

Hi. I would like to put a sound system in my car. Will be 15’’ SUB to do low frequencies, plus 2 x 12’’ woofers (for middle) and the rest…

My doubt is with the SUB. After 1 week searching, I arrived to these options:

A) Pioneer TS-W8102SPL 15" 3000wRMS +- USD 750
B) Rockford Fosgate SWX T212D2 15" 1000wRMS +- USD 420 60 pounds
C) RE AUDIO XXX15-D2 15" 2000wRMS +- USD 640 100 pounds
D) Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro 15 2500 watts +- USD 500 70 pounds

No matter the prices difference.

I would like the loudest sound possible with the best sound quality possible. I don’t have the amplifier yet, I will buy after choose the sub.

Rockford Fosgate: specialty got my attention by the size of its case (movie is 12"). Low size is good because I plan to put others woofers

Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro 15 - by youtube videos, looks like the best excursion,
and over the web I found some reviews rating as excellent, perfect, etc.. just
good things….however, most reviews are "unknow sites"and may be fake.

What do you guys recommend? I had sound system before, but no experience with these monsters of sound.

i've heard nothing but good things about the RE XXX's. they are in a league of there own, some of the best SQL woofers ever made. Then for your 12" woofer setup, stay with RE and look at there SR series...

are you looking for a 15" that will take a load of power, or something thats SQ oriented?

RE audio are top end subs.
Combine a 15" XXX with a Sundown Audio SAZ 1500D and your laughing.

IMO- its not good to mix subs up like 12's and 15's but every person has there own opinion. If you justt looking for midbass then 8" or even 6.5" in pods in the doors is the way to go, IMO.

You should check out the Digital Designs line up, a DD 3515 is sub that can produce good sound and is durable, she'll take a beating.

Does someone have bad experience? They are really famous.

I tried to compare subs performance by youtube videos but is so difficult, digital cameras don’t get the sound because it is to loud, and also no guaranties that system was correctly installed

i worked an heard the T series rockfords 12s tho...they sound amazing
and i would consider it 2nd on my list after the re xxx

RE XXX or the DD3515 or 9500 series. Both are a far superior US built subwoofer.
