i'm still looking for a newer sub that'll be louder. right now, i'm running 2 g5's at 1000 watts but they are 450 rms a piece. If you were to choose between Alpine type X, JLw7, or Orion HCCA which would you choose? remember, we're thinkin SPL not SQ. Tell me your opinions!! Thanks guys!

why dont you spend half the money and buy a tf one? tf ones are great subs.

all the subs u listed are not spl subs...sorry....

jesse has a good point tho, for street style setups, i havnt seen a better more affordable sub yet than the tfones, they can be bought for like half the cost of a w7 and cheaper than both other subs u listed(not 100% what the hcca and type x costs are), and they will deffinatly stand up better, louder and longer than all 3 you listed. if for some reason u did blow it up or throw something against it and break it, recones can be bought and the sub can be repaired.

if your dead set on 1 of the subs u listed...then maybe u dont mean spl...lol

X2 and you can get soft parts easily if you blow it up.

haven't heard the orion, but i have owned and had first hand experience with the type X and w7.
between those two, w7 is going to hit harder lower. it does not sound as nice as a sealed Type X however. if you aren't limited to one sub, get two w6's and you will beat the output of a w7 plus have much nicer sounding subs, all on the same power.
also, i haven't heard one in person, but if you like your bostons why not check out the SPG-555. they are 1000RMS and you can get the passive radiators for them...like adding another sub without needing the power for it or the room. then you would have something that isn't in ever other car on the road like a w7:P

like everyone is saying though....none of those subs are reallllly spl....lol, they are halfway there

TFOne's are kick ass sub's and the best bang for your buck...

where can you buy TF Ones in the GTA/DURHAM? i've never heard one and wouldn't mind checking them out since everyone also rants and raves about them.
