shitty luck on the deadener and the water getting in. gotta find that leak so the rest of the new deadener doesnt get destroyed.

when you put ur deadener on do u always use a heat gun of hair dryer or only today becuz it was pretty cold out? if its like 25 out or something do u have too?

Father Yuli 05-17-2011 03:52 PM

the hair dryer was used for something else. there are more pics i just forgot to upload them. i will do that tonite.

we did not use any heating when applying deadner initially. it was very hard to take off where there was no water damage.

Good stuff Dave... so I know, you know, what Dynamat Xtreme is like... so is the new American Bass stuff same thickness'? I'm considering a tonne of it myself... :smokin:

the dynamat had something funny happen to it.

when we tried to peal it the silver part came off but the black part was rock solid and had to be chipped away from the car.

madwarrior 05-17-2011 06:27 PM

isnt that whats suppose to happen? its the black part that stops the sound i thought and the silver part is just for looks i thought?

It sure is a lot of work... :appl:

I think I might have to try me some AB deadener. Gotta love quick access to bulk packs. :smokin:
