So ill be buying a van asap, and putting in 4- DD 9512's,a nd running is Street B ect ect.... but then i got thinking about 5 passenger vans, and 7 passenger vans, and if i am allowed to take out that rear bench. So i began to look up the rules, and im somewhat confused, and possibly someone could put osme truth to something..

""Cargo vans and commercial vehicles are prohibited from competing in the Street Division.""

A cargo van would be a van with no rear windows at all, and only two front bucket seats, correct? this meaning a normal full-sized van would be allowed?

secondly... it says in part of it you cannot replace OEM seats... but then you keep reading and...

""Seats may be folded for competition, but may not be removed from the vehicle unless they were originally designed as a consumer removable component. Competitors who fold their seats must be able to demonstrate that the installation of the sound system does not interfere with the normal operation of the seats that were folded. Additional Guidelines: Any removable seat that remains installed in the vehicle during competition will be treated identically to a permanently installed seat. If a removable seat has been removed from the vehicle prior to competition, then the officiating staff will treat the vehicle as if that seat doesn’t exist.""

So, now can i clarify if i go to a 3x event, take out that rear bench, in fact never have it in the vehicle, and have my box in the place of it, i will stay in a street division?! Lastly, with everyones experience with vans and all,w hat have they found to be the best van for available space for a box, and removable seats and whatnot, im looking into an AWD astro or something...

thanks in advanced for any feedback

yes cargo vans dont have windows in the back. and yes u can take out the 3rd row seats if they are ment to be taken out. and i also belive u can take out the 2nd row seats as well in a van if it's consumer removable(no use of any tools)

caravan seems to be best for street class.

Tinted i would have to disagree with you and the comment about caravans being the best minivan for street. I will put my Transport against any other minivan.

lol. should i say that 'caravans are popular in street'? well the guy that got second place in street A this year used a caravan.

2nd place in street a was a crx the pic on his profile was of his NW caravan. I had the ONLY minivan in street at finals.
