Wanna get louder

I currently have 2 12inch L5's, but i want to get even louder. Should i buy an L7 and make a custom box with 2 12 inch L5's and a 15inch L7? or is there another route i should go?

don't even think about that. Whoever put that idea in your head, you need to slap them in the face. Always use matched subs for daily use.

so then, how would u suggest i get louder?

Buy subs with better efficiency & power handling and then build a solid ported box (have a pro build it). Two FI BTL 15's in 10 cubes @ 35hz powered by an AB500.1, etc. You'll need an alternator, three batteries, and "the big 3". Do you have $3000? If not, get a better box that's tuned a little higher, get more solid power, and do "the big 3".

DON'T EVER use mixed subs.

Well, what do you have for an enclosure now?

What amp do you have?

wall.e 08-16-2010 04:28 PM

Mixing subs, as said above, is a bad idea. Majority of the time, its a proper enclosure that will yeild the best results
