Im looking at one 15" Kicker L5 or 2 12" Kicker CVR's for my Blazer and am wondering which one i should pick. Thanks

 

i personally would go with the L5 , i had an L5 8inch and it was the most impressive lil sub i've ever had. but i think it depends alot your amp and what kinda of music you wish to listen to.

 

Im thinking about going with the rockford t1000bd which is kind of expensive but I want the best and have saved up a bit of money. As music goes i listen to nothing but rap.

 

if it's all deep stupid bass like most rap, then i'd totally go 15, tune low and enjoy :d

 

If you jstu listen to rap the 15 would be your choice


if your not upgrading your front speakers and you listen to rap AND other stuff ( techno , rock etc) the 15 might be a bit boomy.

Without good midbass up front most 15's just sound like poop to me.

i would say get the pair of 12" Comp Vr's and put them in sealed boxes. should play nice and low and still be punchy enough rock music.

 

I'd go 15's, thats what I run, and I listen to everythingI don't find them to be boomy, but my preference is LOTZ os bass

 

both the L5's/L7's and CVR's can get pretty loud, its all in the install.

 

how about an re sx18 they get stupid loud in the right box.

 

I Have an 12" L7, with a box tuned to... 37hz I think it is. And it is very good for rap, since thats all I listen too

Oh and I hit a 140.1db running a 47hz tone with it!

 

i only listen to rap as well. LOTS of it, only underground tho, no mainstream bs. Chopped & Screwed, Slowed & Throwed songs pwn.!
