so im looking at adding 2 12" subs

ive narrowed my decision down to:


Alpine 12" Subwoofer (SWR-1222D)
Rockford 12" Car Subwoofer (P3SD412)
Infinity Kappa 12" Car Subwoofer (122.7W)
MTX Single 12" MZS SledgeHammer Subwoofer (SLH-MZS1204A)
MTX Thunder 12" Car Subwoofer (TC712)
Rockford 12" Car Subwoofer (P2D412)


can anyone let me know what they think i should do.

i would be going ported box as im looking for them to hit hard.

 

how hard are you looking for?

you have two different models of RF either would be ok the type R's make good noise not the infinity MTX can go boom pretty damn good any of them other then the infinity

 

how much power?

 

not sure yet.. figured id get my subs get a good ported box for them get power to them and than figure out what im going to do for a amp.

 

what kind of box and music are you planning on placing the woofers in

 

8000 pyramid watts of raw peak 20amp power!

 

ive got a sq setup as for speakers but iwant subs that will hit hard and if i dont want them playing hard i'll just turn the amp down. im mostly into alt/rock and some rap but the genre of my music shouldnt matter on what subs i go with.

 

the genre comes into play with size of the sub and the final box design, weather you need tight punchy bass or more of a boomy stereo fast and accurate? or just ***** to the walls loud 'one note wonder' boxes...
