$2000 budget, 3-way active setup - suggestions needed
As the title says, I have decided to go active in my car with a 3 way setup, and I wanna do it right the first time as best as I can. With the budget given above I need a proven combo of speakers and amps that would help me get the best possible bang for buck.
Suggestions needed here pls. I should mention that polks and mb quarts are available here relatively easily |
Get a LRX multichannel from Audison and Focal 3way speaker setup - price both ordering the parts and buying a whole kit.. see what is cheaper.. you can always sell off the passives later.
Lots of places in AB to get the gear.. |

What head unit / receiver / source are you using?
Or is that part of the budget as well? |

You will need a lot of control with a 3-way front stage. I would consider the 701 from Alpine. It has all the control you will need.
For speakers, I always suggest going the DIY way. Is your budget for the enitre system, just the speakers or ? |
Forgot to ask ... a very important question ... what car?
And have you picked out the speaker locations already? |
... and by "3-way active" do you mean "3-way front stage" or "2-way front stage plus sub"?
|
i would call focal in the usa and tell them what you need and see if they will help you out
i know they will try to help just so you do not get them off the web and get kock offs |
To answer the questions:
1. The car is a toyota corolla 2. By 3-way I mean 2 way front stage and a sub 3. $2000 is for the amps and sub only, not including the hu |
