1 sub vs 2 subs
#1
Is there an advantage running 1 sub rather than 2.
I am might remove 1 of my subs and get a class AB amp to power it at 4 ohms.
I ask this because I read in another post that 2 subs cause cancellations.
Whats the real deal?

I believe that the more subs you put in a vehicle increases your chances of cancellation. I dont think running two subs is really gonna hurt your systems sound. Maybe when you start to run three and four subs especially if the box is built on different angles and the subs aren't firing in the same direction from the same plane.

nice subs man i had a pair of tens they were nice but i got a good offer on them and let them go before i really had a chance to paly them hard. What were you thinking of using for ab power. I know that the kicker zr line can handle 2 ohms mono all day and is ab ans sound great.

dont have much of a budget.
I have a Soundstream 1000s that would work.. but its unreliable, and has a noise issue.
other that that.. all I can see is a 400w 2 channel amp of some sort.. and maybe port the sub.
I think they sound better ported myself.. the sealed box makes them sound dry when you start pound them. It could be the monblock though...
