i'd go with a single 12" SX if you can feed it at least 1000rms daily.

well the only reason im thinking of going se is its not to expensive and i can still push it with the amp i have, if i went with the sx then i would have to buy a new amp as well.

All other things being equal..same sub, same car, proper box, etc...two subs with half the power will outperform a single sub with twice the power. In your case though, it's two 10" vs. A 12" with double the power. In this case, the single 12" will yield about the same output, have a much smaller box, and will be less expensive. I'd go that route.

alright i think i might go for the 12 se then, the sub is rated at 600rms, my amp does 500rms at 2ohms, do you think that it would be fine to power the se? or do i have to look for another amp also?

It'll be fine...most subs reach max output well before max rms which is mostly a thermal power limit for the voice coil.

I doubt whether anyone can really hear a difference between 500 and 600 watts anyway...probably less than 1 dB of difference in most cases.
