2010 Version of the CX-7

Hi, guys.
Wanted to share with you some pics of the latest version of the sound system in my car.
I've been building it with the help of a good friend and it's still not done, but I'll update it as I go.
It has several cool features and the main goals behind this build where to keep full use of the car while building a competition worthy sound system.
The rest of the car is stock on this 2007 Sport CX-7.
To sume up the system it's a 4 way active sound system with a Pioneer Carrozzeria DEH-P01 (Imported from Japan), JL Audio HD amplifiers (two 600/4 and a 750/1) and Hybrid Audio Technologies Legatia L831-3 Pro SE speakers up front.
This is the system diagram (made by your very own Julian Ridi):

This is the HU. Pioneer Carrozzeria DEH-P01

The hatch area has a single JL Audio 13 tw5 in a fiberglass box that sits inside the spare tire. Spare tire and all tools are still in place.

The panel you see here is just for looks and to cover the tools, since I compete with this car in SQ shows.

Still need to make the top panel which will be carpeted and look 100% stock and allow full use of the hatch.

The speakers up front are the HAT Legatia L831-3, with the L1 Pro SE tweeters.
L8's are 8.5" midbass drivers and I installed them in the kick area.
Still not finished, but here are some progress pics.

The midrange and tweeters are on the stock dash locations, but angled to not bounce the sound off the windshield.

To have easy access to the drivers, I modded the top part of the dash and it now pops off.
I also replaced most of the plastic with aluminum grill material to allow the sound to come thru.

Then I covered it with grill cloth and the dashmat.

Still need to finish the a pillars.

Amplification is done with 3 JL Audio Slash amps hidden in a custom center console.
This is the power and ground distribution block under the drivers seat.

Custom made amp rack with the amps in place.
The console is bolted to the car in stock locations.

Still need to vinil the arm rest and finish the back cover.
That's what I have so far.
Still a lot to do, but most of the hard work is done.
I'll keep you guys posted on the rest as I go along.

Thanks.
The "valet" switch is hooked up to the 12v accesory wire on the HU, so if the switch is off there's no way of turnin on the HU and by default the entire system.
Here are some pics of that.

For a minute there I thought I was on DIYMA... Took a wrong turn at Albuquerque?

Very interesting, never seen that mesh grill dash before, very original, how does it sound?
