500w SQ sub
#1
It seems to be easy to search and find information on what is the best SQ sub, but I would like to know some good SQ subwoofers to look at rated around the 500w RMS area. I want a single 10" or 12", it will be going into a sealed enclosure with about 1 square foot of airspace if not more. I want some nice clear bass with the ability to thump if turned up.
JL W6?
RE SE?
Am I on the right track?

I once had an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1D and it was rated at 350 RMS but peak handling was over 1,000. Very nice sounding deep bass and takes a pounding. Specs call for 1 cubic ft box sealed but it sounded best in 1.25 cubes.
If you have some extra cash to spend look at the Dimaond audio M6 line. JL Audio 12W6 is supposed to be very nice sounding sub as well (but I have not auditioned it personally).
(If you need a nice 500 watt amp I have a JL 500/1 for sale )

my suggestion
ED 13Ov2. I had a 16Kv2, and a 11Kv2 that is now in my father's ride, and the SQ is amazing for the price. most people that tried both will say that the 13Ov2 SQ is in the idmax/w6v2 neighboordhood
CDT ES12SQ. it's not an spl sub by any mean, but I had the chance to try one for a week and it's definately a very clean and very tight sub.
