I am going to be running a pair of RE XXX mids and a pair of tbd tweeters active. I have 2 2 channel amps available. I am just wondering if anybody can suggest a decent active crossover for ~150 or less that will run this system.

The Vibex2 will probably have everything you need and is the least expensive...

the other Xovers just have different features... the optix2b being the most versitile..

^ according to the information, the vibe2's lowpass is limited to 250hz.. Drew plans on using it for mid's/tweet xover.. The OPTIX2B is the better choice sense its xover range is higher.

Drew, i have a audiocontrol 24xs that i dont use anymore.. Only thing is it uses r-net chips, instead of *****.

how hard are the r-net chips to acquire?

^ you can make your own by using common resistors. IF you have a really good idea of the xover freq you want (RE might be able to comment) then its not a big deal.

Myself when i was using it, i used my DQX to determine the xover point, then made the r-net to match.. When i did my 4-way system that is.

The highest lowpass setting would have your your midbass playing 3db down @ 500hz... If you wanted a higher setting then yes, look at the opti or another brand Xover...

One feature you may want to look for which the optix2b and the VIBESX7 have is a fully isolated power supply... this goes 2x if you are mounting the xover very far away from your amplifiers...
