Advice On System
I am trying to design a sq system before i turn 16(October), and i am in need of some advice. For the head i want a Nak CD-700II, Comps i was thinking Focal 165 V3E, and an Audison LRx 4.300. I need help on a sub and processor, I am hoping to run a single sub off the two rear channels on the Audison. As for a processor i have no clue what to get. Any help would be appreciated.
Ok... to start:
CD-700II is an awesome headunit... maybe overkill even for that setup but more power to you.
LRx 4.300 is only 210wrms at 4 ohm mono on the back channels... you'll need a very sensitive sub to have much output. Frankly I don't think 2 channels is really enough for the Focal 3ways... maybe consider buying two amps or a bigger 4 channel.
As for processing, how far do you want to go? I'm really happy with my Alpine H701 but with a different headunit you have the added expense of the controller and such. Audiocontrol DQX/DQXS/etc are nice, lots of nice analog options still out there too.

If you haven't bought the LRX4.300 amplifier yet........get the new one.
LRX4.1K..........BIG Power perfect for the 3-way components and tons of power on the subwoofer section.
Amplifier is Class A/B Power too - so much better for SQ.
130 Watts x 2 RMS @ 4Ohms for the front speakers and 700 Watts x 1 RMS @ 2 OHms for the subwoofer.
They have a new amp which will be released mid February which is even more power but features class A/B on the 2 front channels and an au-D class sEction for the subwoofer.
LRX3.1K
160 Watts x 2 RMS @ 4 Ohms plus 1150 Watts x 1 RMS for the subwoofer (s).

I am designing the system now and will be purchasing everything by the end of the summer. So I have lots of time to change ideas and such. This will be about my 4th-5th system and will be the first one aimed totally at sq, and i want to do it right the first time. That is the reason I chose the CD-700II. As for subs I was thinking about running two Focal 27 V2's. What do you guys think i should do?
I fell in love with audio when i was about 13, and have been installing systems in everything i can lol. Im about to finish what i beileve is my sixth in my dad's olds. It really paid off getting started early, because I got out of the the really loud bass no sq phase early.
