Question Alpine Spx-177r Component Opinions

Need your comments on these today.
Would like to pick up a set for active config. using a PRA-H400, two 180x2 Ultimate amps installed in my 2002 Mustang.
I'm hoping they will play loud with a nice fast midbass and neutral highs.
Anyone?

My cousin has them in his civic. They sound very good to me, really smooth highs and even though it's a basic install, the midbass was tight and very detailed...clean sounding components. If the price is right, definitely can't go wrong!

Great Midbass but of course need an enclosure to sound their best. Problem is the enclosure is 20 liters optimum sealed. I had to buy the spx-137r's for the front stage because they only need a 5 liter enclosure with a very similar response. Ended up using 2 sets of isobarik spx-177r's in the back for midbass. The isobarik pairing shrunk the box to 10 litres. All in all a fantastic midbass speaker (sounds like no other) but if you are making enclosures it can be tricky. Type X all the way!

Just put them in your doors and do a good job with sound deadening.
Neither the Rs or the Xs are good enough, IMO to go building custom door panels and enclosures.

The 6.5" Xs get real loud, will handle a TON of power and sound very good while doing it.
The 6.5" Rs are the same, except for not sounding very good.
