^ Are you saying the amps I listed above are not good enough for running the Focal Access??

Just remember though........ the installer have alot of influence in the end result of how it'll sound. and I have no problem running any of the 5 amplifiers I listed above in my own or customer's car.

I was thinking of going for a four channel amp for the tuning flexablity thing. I've been pretty impressed with JL and alpine amps in the past. Though I have been looking closely at Audison in perticular the LXr 430...kind of pricey but if there is a considerable SQ difference I am willing to shell out the extra green. The only thing is that I don't know of anyone who has had any experience with Audison and therefore have never 'listened' to any of their products. As for price I was thinking of the +/-400 range. Again space is an issue.:smilie_da

I have sold the line before and while it is a good amp, it's known downfall is it's ability to dissipate heat, something that under the seat is really not a good thing. I made a great recommendation on the Premiere amp, have a good look at it as it is a full range class D amp that has a way lower heat signature as compared to the class AB Audison. This amp is tiny at 8" x 12" and has copious amounts of power behind it. Next year you will se far more manufacturers using the ICEpower circuitry that is in use in this amp, the Alpine PDX series of amps and of course in the people who started it all, Eclipse. The Pioneer Premiere amp is most definitely a amp that is also in your price range.

YES THIS IS 100% TURE the installer have alot of influence in the end result

this thread is laffable, one of the guys recommends 5 amps that are worth 2 or 3 times as much as his componenets............good advice

Well, let see..... the Focal Access are about $425/pr and the amps range from $450 to around $1000. not quite 3X tho. but it was about SQ and not pricing....... How about running the Audison Thesis ($12.500) with the Utopia 165W3 ($2400).

i know i can get the Audison Thesis ($12.500) for less then that

^ Really? i'm sure i could get the Utopia 165W3 for quite a bit less too. but everything above is base on "retail value" as you can see........... ;)
