Just curious if anyone has had any bad experiences with BB? I noticed in another post that someone compared the range of sound deadeners in oven tests and the BB seemed to lose adhesion at a lower temp than some of the other brands. Has this proven to be the case with anybody? Also, has the car smelled of tar in summer heat? Thanks, Bob.

In my limited experience with applying sound deadeners, I have found Brownbread to be extremely good at staying where you put it, assuming that the practice of ensuring a clean surface is adhered to - but that stands true for any adhesive backed deadener.

I never detected any smell either...

Cheers!

Try cleaning the surface you are deadening with acetone or ethanol/methanol/propyl alcohol before applying the matt...

she might stick better for you

Gunwash or PPG DX103 does the trick rather nicely as well (and gunwash smells kickass!)

i good trick for aplication is to use a heat gun at the same time. works great in helping to form the material!
