Anyone use CDT upstage or centrestage

Planning my front stage, which will not see any real SQ competition but want it to sound good and go loud. I am planning on a set of Massive Audio CK6 components on pods in front doors, CDT 6x9 subs in kicks and possibly upstage tweeters. I heard they are best used in conjunction with centre stage?
If I don't go upstage I will probably mount the CK6 tweeters in factory sail panel locations. I have other massive tweeters in there now and am happy with the dispersion of the sound. It does help blending that they are crossed over at 1.4 kHz.
Sorry if I used any CCA.com cliches. (back bacon) To this site anyway

Anyone use CDT at all? Any opinions on any of their speakers, subs, or amps?

I considered buying an upstage kit. but after installing my Eurosports in fiberglass kick pods the height/imaging was quite good, so I didn't bother.

for the price I paid, I'm pretty happy with the Euros so far.

I assume your pods are in your kicks? Have you looked at Massive Audio stuff before? Their CK stuff sounds great, and looks like CDTs carbon fiber cone stuff. Not sure which series. I know CDT used to be a R&D company for others as well and was gonna shoot them an email asking if they had any part in Massives line up. Heard anything about CDTs amps? Also planning on using a pair of their CF 6x9 subs up front (I like carbon fibre) are your Eurosports the carbon cone stuff?

We'll be getting one the CDT upstage sets soon. Its easily installed on the upper windshield corners(no fabrication) ,which is awesome in my view!! The blending module that works with your already installed components and the fact that there's no need for another amp, it gets lots of bonus marks

Tweeters in the sail panels IMO are a poor place to put tweets without time alignment. They would generally be the closest driver to your ears.

The centerstage system? *shrugs* looks like mickey mouse ears on the dash

^Depends how high you cross them over. around 5khz the benefits of TA aren't much I would say

Also kick mounts tweets can imagine fine IMO. The tweets from the CK tweet are loud so they would probably work best in the kicks. I use mine in the a pillars but they get dedicated ms8 channels that can attenuate them. ( and obviously more).

Thanks for the opinions and experiences. The CK tweets do rip! I will leave them as a passive for now which has them xd over fairly low. I will try in kicks first then, and in sails or right above door woofer (which will be aimed in fiberglass pod)
Gavin, let me know about current speaker placements up front and before and after listening impressions with the upstage. The "Mickey mouse ears" are kinda funky Lookin. But could look good if custom fab'd into a pod. I wonder what CDTs opinion is on rearview mirror mounting, loading off windshield. I would prob still recess the upstage into pillars. I'm not fond of surface mount. Keep me posted

Update. We ended up purchasing a CDT individual center stage system from Woofers etc.
2 Days after paying for it, an email came in telling me to contact them...yada yada.. It was discontinued and out of stock. Bahh It said it was in stock on the website

So instead we picked up a set of relatively cheap ($50) neo/titanium tweets and made our own.

Using the rear fill channel on our components passive xover, (Diamond Audio 662s) we ran those channels using inline passive xovers to the tweeters mounted in the dash were we had planned.
Seems to working great as individual 1khz+ centerstage After a little more testing and more power it will be a great improvement on our sq.

I'd recommend the CDT upstage/centerstage just because I know its as good/better than the tweeters we bought.

I hate those websites. Supposed to be professional and then pull stuff like that. Did they really say they were discontinued? They're still on CDTs site.

1khz seems low to cross tweets at. What size are they. I thought CDTs centre stage are 2" drivers which allow them to go into that range. My massive CT1s are x'd at 1.4k with supplied xovers and even that seems low. I have some Massive CK6 components installed and a CDT SQA-2130 ordered to run them until I get a 4 channel then the CDT will run front stage subs. I may experiment with running the CT1s as centre stage or xd over at 6k or so as an upstage ambient style a pillar tweet. I may run them off deck power to attenuate/ turn them off for testing.

Does your stage seem higher? Do u get a "personal" stereo image in both seats? Are they flush mounted, loading off the windshield or surface mount?

Thanks for the update.
