Arc Kar 900.1 vs MMats 1100.1
I am thinking about purchasing one of these two amps to drive pair of 8" Soundsplinter RL-i drivers. I am having a hard time deciding between the two as I am concerned about sound and build quality. I have read posts that state the Arc KAR is decent. How is the MMats in comparison. I looked at the MMats today and must say that is is close to half the size of the Arc. This makes me wonder. Can anyone help?
Thanks JJ |

MMATS rules...
heat sink is half the size because it is extremely efficient |
I would have to say MMATS,don't know ARC to well

heat sink is half the size because it is extremely efficient Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................ I'd be interested in seeing this backed up with some facts.............. if it's true. I'm not slamming it but I've seen the guts on a 900.1 and know what it's about. How much MORE efficient is it ??? Most power amps that have a relative clean output are not small. And I haven't seen very many EXTREMELY efficient amplifiers ............ anywhere. |
I think 5 world championships speak well of their designs -- back when I rep'd them they had amps that tested over 80%...
Just my 2 cents... I don't have anything to do with either brand anymore... but if I was spending my money and had to choose between the two I would choose MMATS |

the mmats 1100.1 will do atleast its rated power... more likely around the 1200-1300 watt range if u actually measure it
take the mmats ! if its not too late |
