Audison LRX vs VRX

I have current production Audison LRX 5.1K. I recently found some Hybrid Audio L1R2, L3 and L6 SE that I would like to use in a three way configuration. To do that I obviously need a couple more channels of amps. I have an option to get a current produciton LRx 2.4 or a slightly used Audison Vrx 2.150. In terms of power it is pretty much a wash, as is price (a few bucks difference but not enough to sway decision) so it is all down to sound quality. I am a pretty discerning listening with multiple high end home systems so I am pretty sensitive to differences in sound quality. I am not interested in SPL at all and in terms of SQ it is timing and coherence that matters as opposed to soundstage or frequency extension. Anyone with direct experience comparing these amps?

VRx series are great, musical, refined amplifiers. Top marks for SQ.
Lotsa torque! Definitely punch above their weight.
But they can be a bit delicate, even in low-stress (non-spl) systems.
I've used them since they first came out, but now I've got at least six
dead ones on the B-stock shelf. Protection circuit faults are the most
common gremlin I've encountered.
The only reliable repairs are the ones I've sent back to Italy, but even
stripping them out of the heat-sink to save on shipping cost, results in
a fair outlay of $$, not to mention a fair bit of waiting.

Unless you have a failure like the guy above said, you won't tell the difference, btw the 5.1k isn't all it's cracked up to be, I have used this amp on a few occasions and it's it's not particularly good amplifier, I have seen many failures on this amp as well, having used both I would recommend the vrx over the lrx5.1
