Audison SQ Issues
I have a new Audison/Hertz install and it hurts my ears ( Fatigue). What to do??
All run Active. Audison AV 5.1 Amp Audison AV 6.5 Woofers Audison AV 1.1 Tweeters Hertz HX 250 Sub |
work with the amp gains. get a radio shack decibel meter and confirm all drivers are playing at the same db
possible one set of drivers is playing too loud hence the fatigue. |
Thank you for your response

How much rms are you feeding to the mids/tweeters? I have an audison av k6 front stage running passive now and I plan to go active just want to know what kind of power is safe for the components

75 rms to the front mid and tweet, 50 rms to the rear. Yes the rear, I had to add them to balance the sound, I also went to passive and have been happy ever sense,

You went from active back to passive ?
|
I would be using that amp to run active and if they sounded to sharp you just need to play with your x-overs and levels and you should have a very full sounding system and I would just run the rears off the deck if you need them. we would need your settings on the amp (x-overs ect) to help out any more

disconnect rear tweeters
|
Take it to someone that knows what they're doing.

one pair of nice tweeters is all you would need (properly installed) having more than one set will almost bring your sq down everytime. tweets don't need anyware near as much pwr as say a midrange driver or midbass driver.
