what is the maximum load that your amp is supposed to handle? i think that amp is supposed to see no more than a 1 ohm load. if those r's r dual 2ohm then u would be down around .5ohms! so that might have something to do with it! and do u mean a fuse on the amp or inline at the battery? help me out here a little.

You are trying to make the amp do something it was not designed to do. It was not designed to operate in 2 ohm mono, which is more than likely how you are running it given that you have dual 4 ohm subs. If your subs are wired in parallel, this is a 2 ohm load and is beyond the amps ability to operate properly, end result is blown fuses for now until the amplifier dies a horrible smelly death.

2 dual 4 ohm loads would result in either 1 or 4 my guess is you have them all parallelled and running at 1 when it is only stable bridged at 4. hook up your subs with a serier-parallel hook up to be at 4 ohms and you should be fine . for how to do this... http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/2-4-4.aspx. thatll give them approx 300 rms each

EDIT

wait are u running one or two amps heh i assumed 1

No it wouldn't be better, b/c the amp is designed to run into 4 ohm bridged mono, which requires u to use both subs to achieve that load.

If u use just one sub you will either have a 2 or 8 ohm load at the amp. The amp won't like the 2 ohm bridged load....and won't put out optimized power into 8 ohms bridged.

This is a classic case of someone trying to make an amp do what it was not designed to do. I don't foresee any further problems if you hook things up right.
