Audison Thesis?

Hello all, Reasonably new here, but I have been stalkig around for a little while. I am just curious if anyone here is Familiar with the top end Audison Amp. If anyone has heard it, played with it or compared it. It;s expensive as hell and I am just curious if anyone knows if it is worth it or not...

Seen it, heard it..yada yada, is it awesome?...yes!...is it worth it?...not to me.

it's all subjective I guess, in a home would you realize the difference between a $10,000 amp and $1,000 amp?...maybe (all else being equal)

in a car however?...I would bet against it.

Not worth to dough. I would say the amp was made for people who just want to spend more money then the next guy. You could by a car and a nice system for the price of one of the amps.

As of this week I can say I have heard it... built like a brick poop house... attractive... well made... smooth, no sonic negatives from my audition, I can say it is a great amp and it’s price is primarily from components used in construction

... Is it worth it? So many people (not me) say all amps sound the same (and those folks SHOULD NOT BUY IT (buy a $300 amp and be happy)). I would recommend extended listening prior to purchase, does it really out perform a Zapco C2k? Does it out perform any one of another fine well made amps (Sinfoni, McIntosh, Genesis, TRU, etc.) ... you really would have to justify paying 1/5 of the asking price IMO. Once you are satisfied then you can plunk down a couple kilobucks and be as happy as the lucky schleps that can be happy spending $300

BTW there are Pioneer Premier amps and speakers not available in the US or Canada (I think) that will stand up to the Thesis, and at the price you are looking to spend you need to hear them and have enough left to spend several kilobucks getting THE SYSTEM installed correctly

I am sure they are really nice amps, but you could abx it against (insert brand here) and not hear a difference.....

if there is some special feature you like, or just want braggin rights..... by all means spend the dough.....

otherwise spend the money on speakers..... and above all the install.....
