Been out of the Scene need some Recommendations!

Hey guys,

I have been out of the game for a long time now. Last time I was into car audio was when canadiancaraudio.com was still around. Back then I had a decent setup or so I think. I had Infinity Kappa Perfects 6.1 Components up front with a phoenix gold audio titanium 400.2 ti I also had a RE AUDIO 12.1 Mono Amplifier paired with a RE AUDIO XXX 12” sub woofer with a custom box made by one of the competitors on this site. He used to own a shop in Kitchener, Ontario I believe peter was his name. Lastly I had rear fill from blaupunkt 6x9’s powered off deck power.

Anyways I’m looking to add a set of components and pair it with the phoenix gold amp as long as it still works (been sitting in garage for 4 years and dropped it a couple times). As well as a small subwoofer that doesn’t eat trunk space like my old setup. Car it is going into is a 2005 Honda Civic Sedan. The deck I currently have in the car is Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X789 and it has triple 5V pre-outs. I will probably leave the stock 6x9 for rear fill. I’m not looking to disturb my neighbours with insane bass but something I can listen to and turn up the volume and hear that bass once again as I drive around 1.5 hours per day!

Basically I don’t have a budget but for discussion purposes I would say I’m looking to spend about under 500 bucks ideally.

What I need recommendations for my budget

1 pair of front component set speakers
1 subwoofer any size that’s decent SQ sie
1 amp to power to subwoofer
0gauge power with inline fuse.

I already have:
Phoenix gold ZX400.2ti 2 channel amplifier
Kenwood Deck eXcelon KDC X789
Distribution Block
Noise Shielded RCA wires ( but will still run power wire on separate side then RCA)
Remote Turn on Wire

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I’ve been out of the scene and have no idea what is available and will still be of decent quality with the budget I have set!

tons of great stuff in the classifieds. or kijiji. read up on class a/b and d amps to decide which way to go. budget will dictate what u can afford.

I agree with surround sound, with your budget the only option would be used if you want a decent "SQ". Usually sq means paying a premium for sound quality.
