Best Component Set for around $400?

I listen to alot of rock/metal. No brand preference. Running thru either RF or Audiobahn amp. Budget around $400

Not sure what size your looking at but here is a couple worth looking at:

Clarion SSS series
Infinity REF series/JBL GTO or Power Series
Alpine Type R
And Eclipse has a set that comes in under 4 bills I believe

All very good choices

Sorry, forgot that part. I'm looking for a 6.5 set, but since the stock hole in the door is a 6x9, I plan to fab a mount for the woofer anyway. Also, does anyone have any experience with the cerwin vega v-max comps?

Hertz HSK165.3 Components are fricking unbelieable for $399......hade made in Italy.

You'd be really hard pressed to find a better set of speakers for that price and have a 2 year over the counter replacement warranty.
